Huawei Symantec, a leading provider of network security and storage appliance solutions to enterprise customers worldwide, today announced that its N8500 clustered NAS storage system achieved performance peaks in the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation's (SPEC) SPECsfs2008 test, achieving the industry's highest results with regard to NFS and CIFS benchmarks, clocking in at 636,036 and 712,664 Ops/Sec, respectively.

Chengdu, April 13, 2011: Huawei Symantec, a leading provider of network security and storage appliance solutions to enterprise customers worldwide, today announced that its N8500 clustered NAS storage system achieved performance peaks in the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation’s (SPEC) SPECsfs2008 test, achieving the industry’s highest results with regard to NFS and CIFS benchmarks, clocking in at 636,036 and 712,664 Ops/Sec, respectively. This marks the second time that Huawei Symantec has achieved the industry’s best evaluation results, replicating the feat that it first achieved in 2009.
