The Cisco MDS 9500 Series of Multilayer Directors are available in 6-, 9-, and 13-slot configurations, supporting up to 528 4/2/1-Gbps autosensing Fibre Channel ports in a single chassis, and up to 1584 Fibre Channel ports per rack.
The Cisco MDS 9500 Series has an industry-leading 2.2 Tbps of system bandwidth, and integrate 10-Gbps FC modules. The Cisco MDS 9000 Family delivers intelligent network services such as virtual storage-area networks (VSANs), Inter-VSAN Routing (IVR), comprehensive security, advanced traffic management, sophisticated diagnostics, and unified SAN management.
Cisco MDS 9500 Series transparently integrate Fibre Channel, SCSI over IP (iSCSI), Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP) and FICON in one system.
