The SNIA Europe Board of Directors executes and oversees the strategic and tactical operations of SNIA Europe. The directors are elected by the membership every two years; the current Board term runs through October 2015.

Bob Plumridge is the Chief Technology Officer for Hitachi Data Systems in Europe Middle East & Africa. In this role Bob is responsible for aligning technology vision with business strategy and evangelising this vision to the press, analysts and existing and potential customers.
With over 30 years experience in storage, Bob’s expertise is both wide and deep having worked in many roles in the industry from Field Engineering to Technical Product Support through to his present CTO role.
Bob has worked for a variety of companies including ICL, Memorex Telex and EMC prior to joining HDS in 1988.
Bob is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) for EMEA.
Chief Technical Officer EMEA
EMC Corporation, Germany
Dr. Markus Pleier was elected to serve on the Board of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Europe in 2011. In industry, after serving as Managing Director of a German IT enterprise, he joined EMC in 2000, at a time when storage networking became a new standard. His responsibilities at that time were very strongly connected with the growth of large SAN infrastructures and focused on the professional services area of EMC in Germany. More recently he was appointed one of the technical leads for EMC in EMEA in line with its broader strategy. Since 2009 he has served EMC a the Chief Presales Office leading the technical presales on a world-wide basis. EMC honoured him as a Distinguished Engineer in 2009 to take credit of his contribution leadership of the EMC technical community in the field and he was named EMEA CTO for EMC in 2010 help customers to transform into private cloud and advise and guide the executive sales management in EMEA in the technology side.
Dr. Markus Pleier has a degree in Computer Science and holds a PhD. in Medicine for Image Handling and Manipulation Algorithms.
Terry was elected to the SNIA Europe Board of Directors in 2013. In his career, he has held various roles within Storage as Field Engineer, Storage Consultant at HP, Compaq and Digital. In his current role as UK&I Storage Product Marketing Manager, he is responsible for storage product lifecycle management within both HP and its Channel Partners. This also includes storage education to both entities. Terry also serves as the Vice Chairman for SNIA Europe UK Committee having been re-elected for a third time. I left Croydon College in 1976 after gaining ONC Engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering and completing a 5-year apprenticeship as an Optical Instrument Toolmaker.

Daniel Sazbon is currently a Storage Sales leader for IBM Europe , and has held several responsibilities within the Storage Sales and the Networking Sales organizations with more than 20 years experience.
He is a founding member of SNIA Europe, member since 2000 and the Treasurer since 2009.
Principal Systems Engineer
Bruno Guiet is a Principal Data Center Architect at Brocade Communications. In his role Bruno mainly focuses on Ethernet Fabrics, Storage Networking solutions, Server Virtualization and DataCenter extension technologies. He has a deep expertise in designing highly available Data Centers for Cloud optimized applications.
With more than 20 years of experience in Server, Storage and Networking, Bruno has worked for several companies like IBM/Sequent and Hitachi Data Systems; holding positions such as Unix & Database Administrator, Benchmark Engineer, Server Consultant, Storage Presales up to his current role of Data Center Architect.
Shortly before Storage Networking emerged in 2000, Bruno joined Brocade as a Fibre Channel Networking Consultant. Since 2007 he is working for the Principal Systems Engineering Department based out of Brocade’s EMEA Headquarter Geneva, Switzerland.
Enterprise Solutions Marketing Director
Robin Kuepers is Dell's Enterprise Solutions Marketing Director for the Western European Region and Dell's EMEA Storage Marketing Director. He has been working at Dell since July 1997. In his role he is responsible for managing the Enterprise country marketing teams tasked with program execution, customer & partner engagement and driving Enterprise Solutions performance.
Robin has worked in various Marketing and Enterprise Solutions roles within Dell. He was a member of the Dutch Senior Management Team as being the manager of the Advanced Systems Group. Robin also was the head of the EMEA Storage Center of Competence, who owns the regional Storage marketing and go-to-market strategy for all of Dell’s Storage brands. Before Dell he worked for seven years at the distribution division from Getronics as marketing & product responsible for Getronics own PC and Server brand.
Storage Products Manager and Sales Business Development Manager, South Europe
With over 15 years of experience in the high technology and storage networking industry, he is responsible for Storage products management and Sales business development, South Europe.
Walter Moriconi's career started in late 1995 as an IT Instructor. He joined Sun Microsystems on 2000. As Storage Product Manager developed and launched the newly built storage department in Italy.
He was Responsible for defining and implementing the products management/marketing strategies required to drive growth of direct and partner sales of Storage Products.
Walter joined the SNIA Europe Board of Directors in June 2010.
Before joining the SNIA Europe Board of Directors, Walter was an active participant in the SNIA Europe Italy Committee for 4 years.

Denise Ridolfo is the Industry and Standards Operations Manager in the Office of the CTO at NetApp. With over 15 years of experience in the high technology and storage networking industry, she is responsible for leveraging NetApp’s global participation in Standards and Industry organization to raise visibility, awareness and to promote NetApp’s market leadership.
Before joining NetApp, Denise was a successful storage industry marketing consultant for many clients, with specific focus in the following areas: product marketing, marketing communications, corporate public relations, developing and executing corporate marketing programs and strategy, branding, program management and HR. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of San Francisco in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior.
